Costco just made it a lot easier to get a 48-pack of paper towels to your door without leaving the couch. The membership warehouse club has expanded its delivery partnership with Uber Eats from 17 states to nearly 600 warehouse locations spanning all 47 states where it operates, while also striking a new nationwide deal with DoorDash to deliver from every Costco store in the country.

Uber Eats Reach Grows From 17 States to Nearly 600 Warehouses

The expansion, first detailed by digitalcommerce360.com, means Costco's full warehouse inventory is now available for delivery through Uber Eats. Members simply enter their Costco membership number in the Uber Eats app, then choose between on-demand or scheduled delivery, according to the same report. Costco and Uber Eats first announced their partnership in 2024, when the service covered just 17 states, per the outlet's reporting.

Separately, Costco has partnered with DoorDash to offer delivery from its U.S. warehouse stores, a rollout that will let the delivery app bring groceries, household items and electronics from all Costco U.S. locations, as reported by NBC Los Angeles. Costco members can link their membership information to their DoorDash accounts as part of the arrangement. DoorDash said Costco was among the most-searched retailers not yet on its U.S. platform, per that outlet's reporting.

Discounts on Memberships, Uber One and Gift Cards

The Uber Eats deal comes stacked with incentives. Costco members can get 50% off an annual Uber One membership during their first year, followed by 20% off in subsequent years, the digitalcommerce360.com report notes. Consumers who don't already belong to Costco can purchase a membership directly through Uber Eats and save 30% on their first eligible order, per the same account.

There's also a gift-card angle: Uber and Uber Eats gift cards valued at $100 are being sold for $79.99 at participating Costco locations and on Costco.com for a limited time, according to qz.com. Costco's average same-day delivery time in the U.S. now sits at 45 minutes, with an average customer satisfaction rating of 4.8 out of 5, digitalcommerce360.com reports.

Instacart Still in the Mix, and a Global Footprint

Costco has offered delivery through Instacart for nearly a decade, and that partnership remains very much alive even as Uber Eats and DoorDash expand their footprints. Instacart continues to power Costco's same-day delivery experiences in France and Spain through its Storefront Pro platform, per digitalcommerce360.com's reporting, and the grocery-delivery service has also expanded its Costco work to include coverage in Canada and nationwide prescription delivery, according to grocerydive.com.

Costco's Uber Eats availability isn't limited to the United States, either. The warehouse club is available on Uber Eats in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, France and Spain, according to ktla.com. DoorDash, meanwhile, offers Costco delivery in Australia, Sweden and Puerto Rico, per NBC Los Angeles's reporting. Uber and Costco first teamed up back in 2021 to pilot grocery delivery at just 25 locations across Texas, grocerydive.com notes, a modest start compared with the near-nationwide footprint the partnership has now reached.

A Bigger Bet on Same-Day Delivery

The expansion reflects a broader shift in how Costco is growing its digital business. Same-day delivery through Instacart, Uber Eats and DoorDash was growing faster than Costco's overall digital sales in its fiscal second quarter of 2026, when digital sales themselves rose 22.6% year over year, per digitalcommerce360.com. Digitally enabled Costco sales increased 21.5% during the company's most recent fiscal third quarter, while online and app visits rose 37%, according to qz.com's reporting.

The push mirrors gains across the delivery industry more broadly. Uber's grocery and retail vertical generated $7 billion in annualized gross bookings in its fourth quarter, up roughly 40% year over year on a constant-currency basis, and that vertical now accounts for roughly 10% of Uber's total delivery gross bookings, according to grocerydive.com. DoorDash has also been racking up retail partners, with more than 100,000 non-restaurant stores now available on its marketplace and Drive platforms, the outlet reports, and Ahold Delhaize USA recently announced that its Food Lion, Giant Food, The Giant Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop banners would join DoorDash and become available on DashPass. Both DoorDash and Uber Eats also announced partnerships with Kroger, the nation's largest supermarket chain, last fall, per NBC Los Angeles.

Costco, based in Issaquah, Washington, has more than 600 locations in the United States and more than 800 worldwide, serving 81 million members globally, according to NBC Los Angeles. The chain operates 639 stores across 47 U.S. states, with no locations in Rhode Island, West Virginia or Wyoming, the outlet reports.
