The game was reported by WVLT, which noted the contest arrives as Covenant Health Park nears the end of its second season hosting Knoxville Smokies baseball. Georges, a running back out of Baylor School in Chattanooga, will suit up in one of his final high school games before he joins the University of Tennessee football program. Knoxville Catholic enters the matchup having started the 2026 season 4-0, per the same report.
The $116 million venue can pull off the transformation thanks to a retractable pitcher's mound that lowers underground, letting field crews convert the diamond into a rectangular field for football or soccer in roughly 9 to 12 hours, according to WBIR. A Five-Star Running Back's Unlikely Path to Knoxville
Georges' road to becoming Tennessee's top-ranked prospect started far from East Tennessee. Born in Quebec, Canada, he spoke only French before moving to Baylor School, where he learned English while developing into the state's premier high school talent, according to background compiled on Wikipedia. His uncle sent the Baylor coach a highlight film when Georges moved to the United States for his second year.
That gamble paid off. Georges is now ranked the No. 10 overall prospect nationally and the No. 2 running back in the 2027 class by 247Sports, and he committed to Tennessee on July 22, 2026, picking the Volunteers over Ohio State and Ole Miss, as reported by CBS Sports.
