The Ferry Building will fill with K-pop performances, hanbok try-ons, and the scent of steamed rice cakes on Sunday, September 20, as the 2026 Chuseok Korean Festival takes over the venue from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, and organizers are promising a full slate of live performances, traditional activities, and Korean food to mark Chuseok.

The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles has operated since 1980 on Wilshire Boulevard as an official cultural outreach arm of South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism under the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles, per Wikipedia. Separately, MAUM Market was founded in Los Angeles in January 2022 by Arnold Byun and Kioh Park to spotlight Asian-owned small businesses, taking its name from the Korean word for “heart” or “mind,” according to The Korea Daily.

Chef Jiyoung Park of Park's Kitchen will provide a Chuseok food tasting featuring songpyeon and jeon, the seed report notes. Songpyeon is among the foods in the tasting.
Beyond the food, the day's programming includes Korean traditional music and dance, a large-brush calligraphy performance, and a random play dance segment, per the EIN Presswire release. Attendees can also try Korean name-writing activities, Hangeul keychain-making, hanbok try-ons, and traditional Korean games. The festival also offers cultural activities for attendees.
