Garth Brooks is coming back to Utah, and this time he's trading the wide-open stadium bowl for the tighter quarters of downtown Salt Lake City's Delta Center. The country superstar announced Wednesday that he'll play two shows at the arena on October 9 and October 10, 2026, marking his first Utah appearances since June 2022. Tickets go on sale September 18 at 10 a.m. Mountain time, all priced at $154.
The Salt Lake City stop is the latest addition to Brooks' 2026 Blame It All On My Roots tour, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. The tour's Chicago dates are scheduled for September 10 through September 13, and Washington, D.C., has two shows that same month, plus a pair of dates in Orlando. Brooks' tour can use both end-stage and in-the-round seating. The Delta Center is located at 301 W. South Temple.
That in-the-round staging isn't just for atmosphere. Per Whiskey Riff, the production brings back Brooks' 1990s-style drum pod rig alongside a new touch called The Halo — an overhead 360-degree video rig with LED screens facing both inward and outward around the central stage. The goal, per the outlet, is to recapture the intimacy and energy of Brooks' classic 1990s arena shows, now updated with modern video technology.
A Recording Session Disguised As A Tour
There's a bigger reason Brooks is back in arenas after years of stadium shows and a Las Vegas residency. According to MusicRow, the 2026 tour is doubling as the recording foundation for Brooks' upcoming live album, titled Killer Live, with performances being captured in real time across the arena dates, as detailed by MusicRow. It's a direct echo of Brooks' earlier arena era. Double Live was released in 1998 and recorded during Brooks' 1996-1998 world tour — still the best-selling live album in music history, with more than 25 million RIAA-certified units sold, according to American Songwriter. The album remains a major commercial landmark.
The Delta Center shows are part of Brooks' arena run, with the immersive experience the new staging is built for. Brooks' résumé backing up that arena-filling pull is substantial: a Kennedy Center Honor and a record seven CMA Entertainer of the Year trophies.
Utah's History With Brooks Runs Deep
Salt Lake City has proven itself one of Brooks' most reliable markets. During his July 2021 and June 2022 concerts at Rice-Eccles Stadium, Brooks sold more than 160,000 tickets across three shows, according to Gephardt Daily, with each show selling out in 30 to 45 minutes. The 2021 concert was Brooks' first Salt Lake City concert in 10 years.
That kind of demand has followed Brooks into 2026. Before the Salt Lake City dates were announced, the tour's first two stops in Indianapolis and Denver included multiple shows, per iHeart. Brooks expanded Indianapolis from two to four shows. The current arena run follows Brooks' Garth Brooks/Plus ONE residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which wrapped in July 2024.
Flat Pricing In A Renovating Arena
Brooks is sticking with the uniform pricing model he's used throughout the tour: Delta Center tickets are listed at $154, according to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, which noted Brooks has consistently rejected dynamic ticket pricing in favor of keeping entry costs the same across every section of the venue.
Salt Lake City's downtown entertainment footprint extends beyond the arena.
Tickets for both Delta Center shows go on sale online on September 18 at 10 a.m. Mountain time.
