Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is adding two new products to its cookie lineup: a vegan, allergy-friendly human treat and a cookie made just for dogs. The council, which serves scouts across Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, and Broward counties, announced it will offer Sparkables and Patch Pals online beginning December 1, 2026, ahead of in-person sales in early 2027.

The announcement came Tuesday, according to WPTV, which reported that Sparkables is a crunchy, oatmeal-style treat that is both vegan and gluten-free, made in a facility free of major food allergens. Patch Pals, meanwhile, is described as a soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored cookie made exclusively for dogs, developed in partnership with Bark, a dog-focused company. Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida said it will offer both new additions online beginning December 1, 2026, ahead of in-person sales in early 2027.

Each Patch Pals treat will feature one of four patch designs representing iconic Girl Scout experiences, per the station's report. Sparkables is described as gluten-free.

Dogs Have Been Part of the Pitch Before

The dog-cookie concept isn't coming out of nowhere. Girl Scouts previously teamed up with Bark during fall fundraising campaigns to sell dog-themed BarkBoxes containing exclusive toys and treats. Patch Pals is a dog-cookie product developed through that partnership.

Both new items will be available exclusively online for direct shipping starting December 1, 2026, per the station's report. The council's online window opens before its booth sales begin in early 2027.

Booth Sales Still Wait Until January

For Southeast Florida buyers hoping to grab a box in person, patience is required. The council's primary in-person cookie sales period traditionally runs from mid-January through mid-February, according to PB Parenting Magazine. That means the December online window for Sparkables and Patch Pals will open roughly six weeks before local scouts start setting up card tables outside grocery stores and shopping plazas.

Behind the scenes, distributing that inventory takes real logistical muscle. Local 10 News reported approximately 600,000 boxes and long lines during the Southeast Florida cookie season, according to Local 10 News.

Why Cookie Names Differ by Region

Girl Scouts contracts with two licensed bakeries, ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers, to manufacture cookie inventory for regional councils, according to Thomasnet, which explains why not every council sells the exact same lineup under the exact same name.

ABC Bakers has also named a lop-eared bunny called Sally as the official mascot for the 2027 Cookie Season, according to a video posted by ABC Bakers.

A Program Worth Watching Closely

The cookie program is an established part of Girl Scouts' fundraising efforts.

Locally, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida closed out its 2026 cookie season having sold more than 1 million boxes across its service area, per a report from Medium. In Southeast Florida, cookie boxes cost $6.

Digital sales provide an additional online sales channel that can reach more customers.
