The armed robbery was reported by FOX 10 Phoenix, which shared surveillance footage of the suspect and the store he targeted. Authorities have not released additional details about the exact location of the store or when the robbery took place, but the search for the man in the cartoon-character hat is active.
Under Arizona law, robbery becomes armed robbery when a perpetrator is armed with, uses, or threatens to use a deadly weapon during the crime, according to William Morris Law. That distinction matters significantly for whoever is eventually caught in connection with this case.
