Bar Alon, 29, faces three sexual battery charges and a cocaine-possession charge after an alleged incident in Hallandale Beach. Police responded Saturday morning to the 200 block of 11th Avenue regarding an incident investigators said occurred the previous night.
According to WPLG Local 10, the woman who reported the incident told investigators she met Alon at a nightclub before they went together to a Hallandale Beach address. Investigators identified Alon as the suspect, although the report did not explain how that identification was made.
Charges and Custody Status
The report says Alon faces three sexual battery charges involving a victim 18 years or older and a person 18 years or older. It also says he faces a separate cocaine-possession charge.
As of Monday afternoon, Alon was being held at the North Broward Bureau jail without bond, per a report from Local 10. No further details about the specific address where the alleged crimes occurred, the identity of the victim, or additional case documentation were available in the report.
How crime data should be read
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, crime-rate data are based on crimes reported rather than arrests made. That distinction means the information available here does not, by itself, establish how reported sexual-battery offenses in Hallandale Beach or Broward County have changed in recent years.
