Jo Koy is coming back to El Paso. The comedian's Koy Meets World Tour is scheduled to hit UTEP's Don Haskins Center on April 30, 2027.
The University of Texas at El Paso's Office of Special Events announced the planned tour stop, confirming that Koy will bring his current tour to the venue on Glory Road. Ticket information is available, according to KVIA. A ticket presale begins Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, with general ticket sales opening to the public on Friday at 10 a.m.
This will not be Koy's first rodeo in the Sun City. The comedian has established a recurring presence at the Don Haskins Center, having previously brought his stand-up tours to the arena on March 4, 2022, October 14, 2023, and March 22, 2025. A video posted by Frost Bank Center promotes a San Antonio performance on October 3 rather than documenting those El Paso performances. That kind of repeat booking suggests promoters see El Paso as a dependable stop on his North American itineraries, a pattern also noted by KISS El Paso.
A Venue Built for Big Crowds
The Don Haskins Center opened in February 1977 as the Special Events Center before being renamed in 1998. It has a capacity of 12,500, per Wikipedia's entry on the arena. Koy's April date joins a packed slate of major arena tours already booked at the Don Haskins Center for early 2027. Colombian group Morat is set to play February 28, 2027, Mexican singer Yuridia is booked for March 14, 2027, and pop icons Yuri and Lucero are scheduled for April 25, 2027, as Hoodline has previously reported.

Koy's El Paso return comes amid a broader career surge that has pushed him well beyond the stand-up circuit. In January 2024, he hosted the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton, taking on the master of ceremonies role after accepting the gig just 10 days before the live broadcast, according to CBS News. He also starred in the 2022 comedy Easter Sunday.
The comedian has released Netflix specials including Live from Seattle and Comin' in Hot, as well as Comedy Central specials Don't Make Him Angry and Lights Out; he also released In His Elements and Live from the Los Angeles Forum, as detailed by Broadway World.
