The National Weather Service forecast calls for sunshine, southerly winds of 14 to 22 mph and gusts up to 33 mph Saturday. Humidity could fall as low as 5% to 15%, and a Red Flag Warning covers portions of Clark County from 11 a.m. Saturday through midnight.
Winds will remain gusty Saturday night, when temperatures dip only to around 82. That combination can help a small spark become a rapidly spreading fire, so residents should avoid activities that could produce flames or sparks and follow any posted fire restrictions.
Cooldown Arrives In Small Steps
Sunday will be breezy with a high near 100, followed by a Monday high around 98. Highs will hover near 98 Tuesday and about 97 Wednesday and Thursday. A 3% rain chance is listed for Friday.
Overnight lows gradually fall from the low 80s this weekend to around 78 Monday through Wednesday, offering some relief after dark without making evenings cool. A few to scattered mid- and high-level clouds are possible, so shade, water and shorter outdoor exposure remain the practical plan during afternoon heat.

In unincorporated Clark County, Stage 1 restrictions prohibit building, maintaining, attending or using wood, charcoal or other fires, campfires and stove fires, except under specified permits or at certain developed fee campgrounds and picnic areas, according to Clark County. Clark County cautions that agencies may impose additional restrictions or exemptions, and rules can differ outside the county. The Clark County Fire Department identifies May through October as Nevada's wildland fire season and advises residents to follow posted restrictions on federal lands in Southern Nevada, including Red Rock, Mount Charleston and Lake Mead.
Taken together, the current outlook represents a modest change from the hotter setup described in Friday's Hoodline forecast, not an abrupt end to the heat. Temperatures are expected to dip below 100 early next week while fire-weather concerns remain important Saturday.
