According to Local 12, M/I Homes currently holds an option on the land at 3291 Drake Road, which spans two parcels held in trust by a private individual from a family that has owned the property for at least four decades. Local 12 describes M/I Homes as one of the largest homebuilders in Greater Cincinnati, now eyeing a community with multiple estate-sized lots on the site.
What Silvermere Would Actually Look Like
The proposal is for up to 72 lots on roughly 71 acres. Forty percent of the land would be preserved as green space, and the layout reportedly includes planned walking trail connections. A separate Drake Road annexation agreement is identified as Ordinance 2026-088.
Other Residential Development in the Area
Residential development in the area includes Drees Homes' 313-acre Rarock Farms development in Lebanon, approved in 2025 and 2026 for up to 539 single-family and retiree patio homes, as reported by Homes.com News.

The county had an estimated 256,059 residents in 2024, according to Axios Cincinnati, citing data compiled by the Ohio Department of Development.
