Bioluminal, an interactive audiovisual installation by Miami-based artist Francisca Oyhanarte, is on view at MAD Arts, 481 South Federal Highway in Dania Beach. The exhibition opened with a reception on Aug. 29 and is scheduled to continue through Nov. 8, according to the event and exhibition listings from Partiful and Everything Immersive.
A paper-built interactive work
MAD Arts identifies the installation’s primary medium as hand-cut paper that has been digitally animated and programmed to respond interactively. Its exhibition page describes bioluminescence—the ability of some organisms to produce and emit light—as the work’s central organizing idea. The museum’s listing is available at MAD Arts.
Oyhanarte was born in Argentina in 1988 and is described by JSL Gallery as a multidisciplinary artist and certified Pranic Healer. That gallery profile says she works with scissors and multicolored paper, combining analog and digital approaches with Pranic Healing techniques.

MAD Arts operates a 19,721-square-foot headquarters with more than 20 interactive installations, according to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Visitors can find Bioluminal at the museum’s Dania Beach campus during the exhibition’s run through Nov. 8.
