A man is behind bars after Prince George's County sheriff's deputies say they tracked him down and arrested him on a second-degree rape charge stemming from an alleged assault back in February. Hector Choc-Cac was taken into custody safely on September 2 and transported to the county's central detention facility to await the next steps in his case.
According to the Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff, deputies located Choc-Cac in Hyattsville and arrested him without incident on suspicion of second-degree rape. The charge stems from an incident in February 2026 in which Choc-Cac allegedly sexually assaulted a woman, though the sheriff's office notice did not detail the relationship between the accused and the alleged victim or the specific circumstances of the encounter. Choc-Cac has not been convicted, and the allegation remains just that — an allegation — as the case moves through the courts.
Once he was in custody, deputies transported Choc-Cac to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, according to the sheriff's office.
