A woman suffered burn injuries and was rushed to a Valley burn center Wednesday morning after fire tore through a home in Phoenix's Maryvale neighborhood, with crews cutting a hole in the roof to ventilate the home and let smoke and flames escape. She was listed in stable condition following the blaze near 91st and Campbell avenues.
Firefighters arrived shortly before 9 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames pouring out of the home, according to AZ Family. Ladder crews climbed onto the roof and cut a hole to ventilate the structure, letting smoke and flames escape while other firefighters ran hose lines inside to attack the fire directly.

The cause of Wednesday's Maryvale fire remains under investigation, and no additional details about the extent of the woman's injuries have been released.
