Granado's, a smash-burger concept founded by Miami native John Paul “JP” Granado, is scheduled to open at 1250 S. Miami Ave. in Brickell on October 2. The restaurant will serve beef and chicken smash burgers, along with a chorizo-based burger drawing on Cuban and Spanish flavors. All burgers will cost $5 on opening day, beginning at 11 a.m.
The restaurant is taking over the ground-floor space most recently occupied by T.I.T.T.S. (This Is To Save) Chicken before its closure, according to Brickell & Downtown Miami Living. The address is in Vue at Brickell, a residential condominium tower with ground-floor retail and restaurant space, according to Zillow listings. That location gives Granado's access to both nearby residents and the area's daytime and after-hours traffic.
The menu, as previously reported by Miami New Times, includes three signature combinations. The Classic pairs caramelized onions with Granado's signature sauce, while the Avo Smash includes greens, avocado, jalapeños and green sauce. The Choripan Burger combines the smash-burger format with chorizo and chimichurri.
A Street-Food Classic Gets a Smash-Burger Makeover
The Choripan Burger draws directly from choripán, the traditional Argentine street-food sandwich made of grilled chorizo served on bread with a garlic-and-herb chimichurri, a staple at barbecues and soccer matches throughout Argentina, according to Laylita.com. Beyond the burgers, the same New Times report notes Granado's will serve smash burger bowls over rice or romaine, classic and loaded fries, and Impossible Meat and gluten-free options for diners with dietary restrictions. For dessert, the restaurant plans a creamy soft-serve called Cloud in Greek yogurt tart, chocolate and swirl flavors, and every burger will be packaged in a signature forest green bag.
A Competitive, Late-Night Market
Granado's planned schedule places it within an existing Brickell pattern of late dining and nightlife. American Social's official Brickell location page, for comparison, lists hours extending as late as 2 a.m. on some days, putting Granado's proposed 3 a.m. weekend closing time within the neighborhood's established operating range, according to American Social.
The neighborhood's burger and fast-casual sector has also seen turnover. Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beers closed its Brickell City Centre restaurant, while Baby Jane's status is not established in the available account. That closure provides a recent example of the commercial pressures facing food businesses even as Granado's seeks to distinguish itself with a Miami-focused menu, music programming and late hours.
Granado, who grew up in Miami, has described the restaurant as an effort to make food that reflects the city and his roots. “Opening Granado's in my hometown feels like a full-circle moment,” he said, according to the New Times account.
Music and Late Nights Set the Concept Apart
Music will be part of the restaurant's programming through Teeny Tiny Disco, a recurring series of DJ sets featuring established and emerging artists. The opening-weekend event is planned to include a guest performer, $5 burgers, free merchandise and other entertainment, according to the New Times report. Granado's also plans Dream Smash, a digital series in which musicians and creators develop their own smash-burger ideas with Granado.
Granado's plans indoor and outdoor seating, with hours from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and until 3 a.m. Thursday through Sunday. The available Indeed page does not provide details about Granado's crew positions, pay or benefits.
Brickell's Burger Corridor Is Getting Crowded
Granado's is entering a Brickell burger market that already includes Burgermeister on Southwest First Avenue and a planned location of La Birra Bar in the former Piola space, according to Brickell & Downtown Miami Living. The Argentine chain won the People's Choice Award at Burger Bash in 2022, 2025 and 2026, according to Burger Beast. La Birra Bar originated in Buenos Aires and opened its first U.S. location in North Miami Beach in 2021; Inter Miami CF and stadium managers announced in August that it had also expanded to a concession at Nu Stadium.
Smash burgers specifically have dominated the region's food competitions lately. Georgia-based NFA Burger's smashed cheeseburger won the Judges' Very Best Burger Award at the 2026 SOBEWFF Burger Bash, while Miami's Skinny Louie claimed the Judges' title in 2025, according to Miami New Times's Burger Bash coverage.
Brickell's international financial and corporate profile gives Granado's a built-in daytime lunch crowd, but closures have also occurred along the same stretch.
