Miami police are asking for the public's help locating 78-year-old Jorge C. Teteceiro, who was reported missing from an assisted living facility in Overtown. Police say he was last seen Monday, September 21, and are seeking information that could help determine where he went and bring him home safely.
A WSVN 7News report, citing city of Miami police, said Teteceiro was last seen at an assisted living facility on Northwest 11th Street Road. Police describe him as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 182 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes.
What Teteceiro Was Wearing When He Disappeared
Police said Teteceiro was wearing a white sweater and brown pants when he was last seen.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances of Teteceiro's disappearance, his health, or a possible destination.
When a Silver Alert may apply
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, a Silver Alert is intended for missing people with a verified irreversible deterioration of intellectual faculties. Local law enforcement first conducts a preliminary investigation and enters the person into the Florida Crime Information Center before seeking a state alert.
