Monday looks just as pleasant, with sunny skies, light winds and a high of 80 degrees or cooler. The National Weather Service says dry conditions should dominate Middle Tennessee through the weekend and into the start of next week.
Temperatures Climb By Midweek
The calm pattern does not last forever. Tuesday should reach about 85 degrees, followed by a warmer, mostly sunny Wednesday as warmer air settles over Nashville.
A slight chance of showers appears Wednesday night, with rain chances increasing Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will be well into the 80s Thursday, with a 30% chance of showers, while Friday stays warm near 88 with another chance of rain.
A Noticeable Break From Recent Heat
The weekend forecast is a substantial shift from the 98- to 100-degree stretch Nashville experienced last week, when summer refused to leave quietly. The latest outlook is cooler than Hoodline's earlier forecast, which gave highs in the mid-80s and lows in the low-to-mid-60s and mentioned showers mainly east of Nashville.
For now, outdoor plans have a generous weather window: comfortable afternoons, cool evenings and no advisories listed for the Nashville area. A light jacket may be useful after sunset, but the weekend forecast otherwise looks like an easy win.
