Among those on hand was Lake Clarke Shores Mayor Christy Maasbach, along with members of the town council, according to The Palm Beach Post. While The Coastal Creamery's address technically falls in West Palm Beach, the shop sits right on the edge of Lake Clarke Shores, a compact town of roughly 3,500 residents where nearly all commercial and dining activity clusters along the Forest Hill Boulevard corridor, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. That proximity helps explain why the mayor and her council colleagues showed up for the opening of a business technically outside town limits.

The shop's initial licensing food safety evaluation is not described here. State corporate filings show the business entity behind the shop, The Coastal Creamery LLC, was originally registered back in May 2020, well before this physical storefront opened its doors.
