Oakland County has closed on an $11 million purchase of an industrial building in Auburn Hills, a move that will provide the Oakland County Sheriff's Office with a new facility. The building, known as the Executive Hills Technology Center, sits at 2110 Executive Hills Court and was bought from commercial developer Symmetry Management & Realty.
According to CoStar, the county paid a little more than $11 million, or roughly $137 per square foot, for the industrial property.
A New Facility for the Sheriff's Office
The Auburn Hills property has 80,416 square feet available.
The building has 24-foot clear-height warehouse ceilings, 5,000-amp electrical service, three grade-level loading doors and a truckwell. It also includes a 27,210-square-foot two-story office component, and the site allows for potential future expansion up to 133,000 square feet, the listing notes.

The P.A. Commercial report's Auburn Hills office statistics list an average sale price of $116 per square foot. The county's $137-per-square-foot purchase price was higher than that figure, according to a PA Commercial market report.
A Sheriff's Office Stretched Across a Sprawling County
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office holds primary law enforcement jurisdiction over 1.27 million residents, providing full municipal policing under contract for 15 local communities including Independence, Orion, Commerce and Oxford Townships, along with the city of Pontiac, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. The agency is led by Sheriff Michael Bouchard, who has served as sheriff since 1999.
The sheriff's office has also faced a facility headache. In December 2025, the agency's main administrative headquarters in Pontiac was forced to temporarily close and shift employees to remote work after Legionella bacteria was found during environmental water sampling, as Hoodline previously reported. The contamination prompted environmental remediation and a temporary closure of the building.

Exactly when sheriff's personnel and equipment will move into the new Auburn Hills facility, which divisions will relocate from Pontiac, and whether county bond financing will cover any further site customization all remain open questions.
