The retro diner has also announced a broader planned expansion into southwest Broward, though it has not released location details or an opening date for the new site.
The news comes from a Miami Herald report, which confirms Hausmash's plans for both a Pembroke Pines site and a wider southwest Broward footprint. The chain's approach centers on burgers it describes as reviving “the essence of 1980s fast food with smash-styled burgers,” according to hausmash.com. The company says its patties are made with Certified Angus Beef, and its fries and toppings are fried in a beef-tallow shortening it calls All Crisp.
Hausmash currently operates out of Wellington, with its existing spot located at 10660 Forest Hill Blvd. No. 170, per Burger Beast. That outlet lists the Classic Smash, served as a double, as the must-try item on the menu. The burger features Certified Angus Beef smashed hard on a flat top until the edges turn crispy and lacy, then topped with American cheese, diced onions, ketchup, mustard and pickles, the same account notes.
A Growing Reputation in the Local Burger Scene
Burger Beast's roundup of Palm Beach County's best burgers names Hausmash alongside Tropical Smokehouse as two of the better smashburger options in the area. That reputation appears to be part of what's driving the chain's move into Broward County, though the seed reporting stops short of detailing why Pembroke Pines specifically was chosen.
For now, Hausmash's Wellington location keeps regular hours, open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, according to the company's own site. Whether the new southwest Broward location will follow the same schedule has not been announced.
