Upper-90s Saturday Gives Way To Clouds
Saturday will be sunny with a high in the upper 90s. Westerly flow will persist, though some Phoenix-area airports could see southerly crosswinds before winds shift westerly. Saturday night stays warm near 79 and turns mostly cloudy, while Sunday tops out around 97 with only a slight chance of showers late in the day; rain chances rise to 30–40% after midnight Sunday night.
That is a more dramatic shift than the dry-weekend setup described in an earlier Hoodline forecast. Sunday night showers should generally be light, with most measurable rain expected to stay below a tenth of an inch.
Monday And Tuesday Bring The Main Threat
Monday will feel markedly cooler, with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms possible during the first half of the day, mainly over the central and eastern high terrain. The rain chance reaches about 70% during the day and 80% Monday night, when the low could fall to around 70 and moderate to heavy rain is possible.
Tuesday remains unsettled, with a high near 86, more showers and thunderstorms and another 70% rain chance. The National Weather Service in Phoenix says heavy rain, flash flooding, damaging winds and large hail are possible if stronger storms develop, with roughly an inch of rain currently projected for the Phoenix area across Monday and Tuesday.

Residents should keep an eye on updates before Monday travel and outdoor plans, avoid driving through flooded roadways and move inside when thunder or hail threatens.
Rain chances continue Tuesday night in eastern Arizona and could increase Wednesday if the system's timing holds, with storms possible Wednesday afternoon if the low remains nearby. Temperatures are expected to warm gradually late in the week, with highs possibly reaching 100 degrees again by the following weekend.
