Colorful Pikmin characters are about to pop up all over downtown Nashville, as Nintendo of America brings its Nashville Pikmin Gathering to the city throughout October 2026. The event centers on the mobile game Pikmin Bloom and invites locals and visitors alike to wander through some of downtown's most famous spots while chasing in-game rewards.
According to WZTV, the gathering features colorful Pikmin appearing throughout famous downtown spots, with two main weekends anchoring the month-long celebration: October 3-4 and October 31-November 1. At the heart of the experience is a MINI WALK that includes seven special spots around Nashville, all accessed through the Pikmin Bloom mobile app.
How the Pikmin Bloom Walk Works
Players who complete the seven-stop walk can earn in-app rewards, including gold seedlings for Decor Pikmin, per the station's report. The app itself, described on its Apple App Store listing, is built around a simple premise: the more you walk, the more seedlings and fruit you'll find. Pikmin Bloom offers a fun way to earn rewards for going outside and exploring with friends, and with a player's permission, it can even use Apple HealthKit to track walking distance while the app is closed.
Downtown, the action will be anchored by a pop-up tent at Walk of Fame Park, which serves as the starting point for each main weekend, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the same source notes. Participants can learn about Pikmin at the tent before setting off to explore Nashville through the Pikmin Bloom experience.
Nintendo and Broadway Entertainment Association Team Up
Rob Mortensen said Nintendo of America and the Broadway Entertainment Association hope to create an experience that brings families together and encourages exploration, per the same account. He added that exploring downtown Nashville for Pikmin can introduce visitors to the city's music and culture along the way.
The gathering is meant to give people an opportunity to get outside, explore new places and interact with Pikmin, tying directly into the app's broader design philosophy of turning everyday neighborhood walks into a collectible adventure. It's a formula Nintendo has used elsewhere; the company separately promoted a comparable free interactive MINI WALK along the Seattle Waterfront running from May 23 through September 7, 2026, according to a Nintendo.com announcement.
For now, downtown Nashville visitors curious about joining in can head to Walk of Fame Park during one of the two main weekends to pick up the trail. Whether the later weekend of October 31-November 1 mirrors the same hours and programming as the opening weekend hasn't been detailed publicly.
