Rock N’ Roll Sushi is opening its doors to the public Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Mt. Juliet, marking the brand’s first location in the city and giving sushi fans a new dinner spot at the Everette Downs development. The restaurant will run dinner-only hours for its first two weeks before expanding to a full lunch and dinner schedule.
The new location sits at 1913 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Suite 100, according to franchising.com. The site is part of the Everette Downs development at the intersection of Division Street and Mt. Juliet Road, near Sprouts, as reported by What Now Nashville. Mt. Juliet locals Eric and Jenn Covell will own and operate the restaurant, and it’s their first venture as Rock N’ Roll Sushi franchisees.
What to Expect the First Two Weeks
For its opening stretch, the restaurant will serve dinner only, opening at 4 p.m. and closing at 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, per the same franchising.com report. Beginning Oct. 7, the location will transition to full hours, adding lunch service alongside dinner.
The restaurant will open without alcohol service at first, with plans to add a full bar in the coming weeks, according to the report. No further detail on the bar’s launch date has been made available.
A Growing Tennessee Footprint
The Mt. Juliet opening marks Rock N’ Roll Sushi’s 13th Tennessee location and the 81st restaurant systemwide for the brand. It will also join six other Rock N’ Roll Sushi locations already operating in Middle Tennessee under existing franchisees, the outlet notes.
Rock N’ Roll Sushi got its start in Mobile, Alabama, in 2010, according to a LinkedIn post tied to the announcement. Husband-and-wife duo Lance and Gerri Mach founded the brand that year, and it has since grown to more than 75 locations across the Southeast, per What Now Nashville’s reporting.
With the Covells now at the helm of the Mt. Juliet shop, the American-style sushi chain adds another local ownership story to its expansion across the region. Dinner service kicks off Wednesday at 4 p.m., with lunch hours following just two weeks later.
