A multi-vehicle crash that included at least one rollover sent several people to the hospital just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of Fairgrove Avenue, directly outside the Butler County Fairgrounds in Hamilton, Ohio. Hamilton Police confirmed at least one vehicle flipped during the crash, and Butler County dispatch reported that multiple people were taken to area hospitals.
The crash shut down Fairgrove Avenue between North Fair Avenue and North Eastview Parkway, according to FOX19. Hamilton Police told the station they expected the road to reopen before midnight. The extent of injuries had not been released by authorities as of the station's report.
A public hearing was also scheduled at the fairgrounds by the City of Hamilton, the Butler County Transportation Improvement District, and the Ohio Department of Transportation, according to the North Hamilton Crossing project. That meeting focused on the North Hamilton Crossing project.

The fairgrounds themselves have stood at 1715 Fairgrove Avenue since 1856, part of a corridor that once served as an early 20th-century automotive manufacturing hub where Hamilton's Republic Motor Car plant opened in 1909, according to the Butler County Fair.
