Salt Lake City woke to clear skies and temperatures in the mid-50s Wednesday, with a sunny afternoon high near 74°F. Calm conditions are expected in the morning, with light northwest winds later, and no rain is expected in the city.
Thursday will stay sunny with a high near 78°F, according to the National Weather Service. Light winds are generally expected, though conditions vary by area.
Warmup Continues Into Monday
The valley warms steadily through the weekend, reaching about 83°F Friday, 84°F Saturday and 85°F Sunday. Monday should remain mostly sunny near 82°F, followed by a sunny Tuesday with a high around 81°F.
Overnight temperatures will stay comfortable but cool, ranging from around 50°F Wednesday night to the upper 50s Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday night could be milder, with a low near 61°F before temperatures ease back toward the upper 50s Monday night.
Salt Lake Valley Stays Dry
Showers may linger across far southeastern Utah into Wednesday morning, but the Salt Lake Valley is on the dry side of the forecast. The calmer pattern is a sharp turn from the storm setup described in Hoodline’s Saturday forecast.
For Salt Lake City residents, the practical takeaway is a run of clear mornings, warm afternoons and little need for an umbrella. The warmest stretch continues into early next week, with highs expected to peak Monday. Outdoor plans should be easiest earlier in the day before afternoon temperatures climb into the mid-80s.
