Saturday Warm-Up Comes With A Beach Warning
The National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazards Statement for San Diego County beaches through Wednesday afternoon. Elevated surf is expected through Tuesday, with waves of 3 to 5 feet and sets reaching 6 feet. Strong rip currents and coastal erosion remain possible, while minor tidal overflow is forecast through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Beach conditions could become more problematic Monday through Wednesday, when morning high tides approach 7 feet. Elevated surf and higher tides may create a window for moderate coastal flooding Monday and Tuesday, especially along south- and southwest-facing beaches.
Sunday Turns Cooler
Sunday is expected to be 5 to 10 degrees cooler than Saturday.
Conditions are expected to dry Monday into Tuesday, according to Hoodline's earlier forecast.
Drier, Warmer Conditions Expected Tuesday
Tuesday is expected to turn drier and warmer, followed by sunny skies and highs near 79 Wednesday and Thursday.
Coastal low clouds and fog may occur overnight through Saturday and into Sunday morning.
