Heat Advisory Holds Through Thursday Night
The National Weather Service describes an afternoon sea breeze with moderate to fresh winds, with gusty northwest winds near SFO reaching up to 15 knots, approximately 17 mph. Temperatures may ease along the immediate coast later in the day as the sea breeze returns, but the Heat Advisory remains in place until 10 p.m. Thursday.
Cooler, Windier Weekend Ahead
Friday should be cooler, with weekend highs in the upper 60s, while Monday through Wednesday could reach the low to mid-70s.
Coastal Fog May Return
The marine layer is expected to rebuild Thursday evening, bringing low clouds and possible fog back to coastal neighborhoods and bayside areas. The forecast calls for dry weather through the week.
Heat Safety Still Matters Thursday
The weather service says moderate HeatRisk continues across much of the region, with higher risks possible in hotter inland locations. Residents should drink water, take breaks in shade or air conditioning, avoid strenuous afternoon activity when possible, and never leave children or pets in a parked car.
