Mostly sunny skies will carry the city through the day, with temperatures climbing into the mid-80s around midday before topping out near 89. Northwest winds will increase through the afternoon, generally reaching 1 to 10 mph with gusts as high as 18 mph.
Thursday night will be partly cloudy and much cooler, with a low around 58 degrees. Coastal areas could see some patchy fog or low clouds, but the marine layer is expected to remain limited around inland San Jose.
Weekend Brings Sunny Skies And Cooler Temperatures
Friday marks the biggest change, with a high near 78 degrees and northwest gusts reaching up to 21 mph. The forecast stays dry, while overnight temperatures fall into the mid-50s and make for a cooler start to the weekend.
Saturday should be sunny and near 77 degrees, followed by Sunday with a high around 76. The updated forecast is a meaningful shift from the hotter outlook covered in Hoodline's Wednesday forecast, which had called for a warmer weekend.

Monday is expected to reach about 80 degrees, with temperatures warming by midweek. The National Weather Service's latest forecast discussion describes Thursday as the warmest day before cooler air settles across the region Friday and through the weekend.
For outdoor plans, Thursday afternoon will be the hottest window, while Friday through Sunday should offer more comfortable conditions. A light jacket will be useful after sunset, when temperatures quickly slide into the 50s.
