A man was injured after being shot near the 3400 block of Warsaw Avenue in East Price Hill, suffering a shotgun wound to the leg and arm, according to the Cincinnati Police Department. Officials say the man is up and talking, and FOX19 reported his injuries were non-life-threatening; no suspects have been identified.
The shooting happened on the 3400 block of Warsaw Avenue, according to FOX19, which first reported the incident. The stretch of road sits within Cincinnati Police District 3, a command covering 18 west-side neighborhoods across roughly 20 square miles with 161 sworn officers based out of headquarters on Ferguson Road in Westwood.
A Corridor With Deep Police History
The historic Police Station No. 3 is at 3201 Warsaw Avenue. It served as District 3 headquarters beginning in 1908 until operations shifted to Westwood in 2015. The station remains in active use today by CPD traffic units, according to background compiled from Wikipedia.
This is not an isolated incident for the corridor. Federal justice data analyzed by the International Association of Chiefs of Police shows East Price Hill has historically recorded violent crime rates roughly three times higher than the Cincinnati citywide average, a disparity tied to long-term socioeconomic strain, including a 44% family poverty rate documented in 2018. Economic pressures add to the neighborhood's challenges.

Residents along Warsaw Avenue have reason to be on edge. On May 1, 2025, a Cincinnati police officer fatally shot 18-year-old Ryan Hinton near the 2500 block of Warsaw Avenue during a foot chase tied to a stolen vehicle investigation, an incident that drew significant public scrutiny and left many in the area especially sensitive to gunfire on the street.
Sunday night's shooting adds to a string of recent violence in the neighborhood. It follows a shooting that left a teen shot in the back outside East Price Hill apartments just four days earlier. No suspects have been named in the Warsaw Avenue shooting.
