Slipknot is coming back to the Valley, and this time they are bringing the whole stadium show. The masked nu-metal band will headline Chase Field on August 18, 2027, marking their first Arizona performance in nearly three years and closing out the North American leg before the tour continues with five South American dates.
According to KTAR, Slipknot last played Phoenix on September 15, 2024, at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, making the Chase Field date a long-awaited return for local fans. As reported by Arizona's Family, the Phoenix stop will be the band's final U.S. show before the tour heads south. Bring Me The Horizon will join Slipknot for the Phoenix concert, with Motionless In White also joining specifically for the show.
Known for an aggressive nu-metal sound, theatrical horror-inspired masks, and chaotic live performances built around hits like “Duality,” “Psychosocial” and “Before I Forget,” Slipknot has played memorable shows in the Valley. During their November 2021 stop at Ak-Chin Pavilion, audience members on the lawn built a 30-foot bonfire out of stacked lawn chairs, according to Loudwire. The blaze forced a 30-minute intermission while fire crews worked to put it out, and the interruption reportedly led the band to drop signature tracks “Duality” and “Spit It Out” from that night's setlist, per the Revolver account of the incident.
A Stadium Built for the Heat
Chase Field carries a standard seating capacity of 48,330 for baseball, per ThrillZing. Opened in 1998, the venue has a retractable roof and climate-control system capable of cooling the interior to 78 degrees before doors open, according to Gametime. That matters in mid-August, when Phoenix's summer heat can make an indoor venue appealing.
The indoor setting also offers a notable contrast to the open-air chaos of 2021, giving the band and its notoriously rowdy fanbase a controlled environment for a show of this magnitude.
New Music and a Changing Lineup
The Chase Field date arrives amid a period of real transformation for the band. On September 9, Slipknot surprise-released “Arsenal,” their first new single in three years, paired with a music video directed by founding member M. Shawn Crahan. The track marked the band's first studio recording with Brazilian drummer Eloy Casagrande and their first release since parting ways with longtime DJ Sid Wilson.
Tour Dates and How to Get Tickets
The 19-date global run kicks off July 3, 2027, at Wembley Stadium in London — Slipknot's only European headline date on the tour — before working through the U.S. and Canada and wrapping the North American leg in Phoenix on August 18, according to Blabbermouth. From there, the tour moves on to five South American stadium dates in September 2027.
For Phoenix fans hoping to snag seats, Arizona's Family reports that an artist presale begins Tuesday, September 29 at 10 a.m., followed by a Knotfest presale later that same day at noon. General on-sale opens to the public Friday, October 2 at 10 a.m., with tickets available through Slipknot1.com.
