A Los Angeles-based sports gastropub brand is planning to open its doors in Old Town Scottsdale this fall, taking over a two-story building on Scottsdale Road that spent the last 15 years as a neighborhood nightlife staple. General Admission, founded by brothers Kamran and Kourosh Pourkazemi, is set to move into 3737 N. Scottsdale Road, a site long known for its street-facing patio.
The address most recently housed RnR Gastropub, which closed in June 2025 after 15 years in Old Town, according to Phoenix New Times. The building itself is a two-story, freestanding structure built in 1967 with a gross leasable area between 4,000 and 6,000 square feet, and it features what real estate listings describe as the only two-story dining patio overlooking Scottsdale Road, per LoopNet. The property was previously marketed as a $5 million single-tenant triple-net investment sitting inside a federal Opportunity Zone, according to a listing from OX Urban Properties.
What General Admission Is Bringing to Scottsdale
According to WhatNow, General Admission is being described as a full-service dining and nightlife venue built around sports viewing, with a long bar, booths, dining tables, and televisions spread throughout the room. The outlet reports the concept comes from Kamran and Kourosh Pourkazemi, the Los Angeles-based brothers behind the brand, which currently has locations in Los Angeles and at the UnCommons development in Las Vegas. General Admission has not yet released a Scottsdale-specific menu, but the same report notes the brand's Las Vegas location offers wings, sushi, smashburgers, steak, and seafood alongside a drinks menu that includes margaritas, other cocktails, wine, and beer.
The Scottsdale plans were announced on Instagram, per the WhatNow report, which also notes General Admission now lists Scottsdale alongside its Los Angeles and Las Vegas restaurants and has shared a rendering of the planned location. WhatNow adds that more information about the menu and an exact opening date may be released later. Hoodline covered the brand's original debut when it opened in Hollywood Hills in December 2019.
A Flagship Vegas Model Built for Sports Fans
General Admission's most recent expansion offers a preview of what a full buildout could look like. The brand opened a 4,650-square-foot flagship in late 2022 inside the $400 million UnCommons development in Las Vegas, featuring 180 seats, a 1,900-square-foot patio, a 40-foot bar, and more than 30 televisions, according to UnCommons. That location also offers entertainment and events.
Hoodline describes General Admission's Los Angeles location at 3311 Cahuenga Boulevard as an upscale modern sports bar. The brand was also covered in a release distributed via TMX Newsfile. At its UnCommons location, the brand pairs elevated food with sports viewing, firepits, and entertainment.
Old Town's Bigger Bet on Upscale Nightlife
The Scottsdale opening comes as Old Town continues to evolve.
Meanwhile, Evening Entertainment Group has planned a new concept of its own. The company is planning Holla Brunch Girl, a 21-and-over rooftop DJ brunch venue beginning September 26, 2026, also in Old Town Scottsdale, according to In Business Magazine. The corner at 3737 N. Scottsdale Road looks set to remain part of Old Town's nightlife landscape.
