Sunny Saturday, Gustier By Afternoon
Saturday should stay dry and sunny, with temperatures rising through the 60s before west winds strengthen during the afternoon. Occasional gusts of 20 to 25 knots are possible at SFO and SJC, and the breeze will remain noticeable into the evening as temperatures slide toward 57 degrees overnight.
Sunday will be similar but slightly cooler, with mostly sunny skies, a high near 68 degrees and west winds gusting as high as 24 mph. Morning cloud cover or patchy fog may linger near the coast, but most of the day should be favorable for plans away from the water.
Beach Hazard Statement Covers Pacific Coast
The National Weather Service San Francisco says Pacific beaches face an increased risk of sneaker waves, strong rip currents and breaking waves around 10 feet through Monday night. The Beach Hazards Statement advises people to stay out of the water and away from jetties, piers, rocks and other shoreline infrastructure.
The warning is especially important during a holiday weekend, when sunny skies can make the ocean look calmer than it is. Anyone visiting the coast should never turn their back on the water, and swimmers caught in a rip current should move parallel to shore until the pull eases.

Temperatures begin climbing Monday, with possible early stratus. The outlook for next week includes remnant tropical moisture and possible light rain.
A chance of light rain or drizzle is possible around Wednesday, with highs in the mid-70s. Conditions may change later in the week as possible moisture moves through.
