A male in his late teens was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being shot twice on the 2500 block of Ring Place in East Price Hill on Sunday. Cincinnati police responded to a shooting report at the address and found the teenager suffering from two gunshot wounds. No suspect has been identified.
According to FOX19, officers were dispatched to the scene on Sunday and located the young man with the gunshot wounds. Police said the teen was taken to a hospital, where his injuries were described as serious but non-life-threatening, per the same report. The outlet notes that authorities have not named or identified anyone as a suspect in the shooting.
A Block With a Violent History
The stretch of Ring Place where Sunday's shooting occurred has seen gun violence before. In June 2019, a mother of five shot her ex-boyfriend on the same block as he tried to break into her home; police at the time declined to file charges after determining she acted in self-defense, as FOX 35 Orlando reported, noting the woman held a valid concealed carry license and a protection order.
The block sits within the jurisdiction of Cincinnati Police District 3, which covers 18 West Side neighborhoods across roughly 20 square miles with 161 sworn officers, according to prior Hoodline reporting. The district serves the western side of Cincinnati. Sunday's shooting adds to a string of gunfire incidents that have rattled Price Hill neighborhoods this year. In July, a 19-year-old suspect allegedly opened fire on an occupied home on Manss Avenue in West Price Hill. Other incidents this year have also been reported in Price Hill.
