Two people are dead after a Jeep and a water truck collided on State Highway 33 east of Broadway in Guthrie on Thursday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Troopers confirmed the crash happened just after 9:40 a.m., though the identities of the victims have not been released.
The collision, reported by News 9, involved a water truck and another vehicle, later identified by KOKH FOX 25 as a Jeep. Oklahoma Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash, and key details remain unresolved, including which vehicle may have crossed the center line or failed to yield, whether speed or impairment played a role, and how long the roadway was closed for scene reconstruction.

Thursday's fatal wreck comes amid reports of other crashes along SH-33 in Guthrie. The intersection near Broadway has been discussed in connection with safety concerns on State Highway 33.
