A 33-year-old man died after being shot in the chest during an altercation in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to police. The shooting happened around 4:34 p.m. in the 11500 block of South Halsted Street, when a verbal argument with an unknown group of people turned physical before someone fired a gunshot.
The man, whose identity had not been released, was struck in the chest and transported to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. He had initially been listed in critical condition. Police said they did not have additional information about a possible suspect, and Area 2 detectives are investigating.
