50 Cent has taken his dispute with Tia Kemp to a Miami-Dade County courtroom, asking a judge to stop her from what he describes as cyberstalking and harassment of his 14-year-old son, Sire. The petition, filed on behalf of the teen, who is identified only by his initials in court records, seeks both an immediate temporary injunction and a longer-term order following a hearing.
According to TMZ, 50 Cent claims Kemp repeatedly targeted his son online, including comments calling him “slow” and asserting that he is on the autism spectrum. The filing alleges Kemp targeted Sire in four separate online publications over just six days, including an October 25 interview. 50 Cent's attorneys reportedly sent Kemp a cease-and-desist letter beforehand, demanding she take down the posts and stop publishing further material about the boy.
Kemp did not go quiet after receiving that letter, per the same TMZ account: she allegedly responded by posting part of the cease-and-desist document itself, captioned, “F u and ya lawyers.” Kemp has her own account of events — speaking to Yahoo Entertainment, she claimed she received a cease-and-desist letter from 50 Cent's camp and argued the rapper has no standing to comment on someone else's child.
What the Filing Alleges
The petition argues that the alleged conduct has caused Sire humiliation, embarrassment, and mental anguish, and that 50 Cent believes the harassment will continue absent court intervention, the filing states. The request for an injunction would first bar Kemp from stalking, cyberstalking, or harassing Sire on a temporary basis, with a final injunction to follow after a hearing before the judge.
This legal fight did not emerge in isolation. It follows a separate, and far more violent, incident involving Rick Ross's 21-year-old son, William Roberts III, who was allegedly attacked outside Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach on October 11, according to WESH. Police arrested 20-year-old Don Roberts III in connection with the alleged pistol-whipping; despite the similar names, court documents identify him as unrelated to William Roberts III. Don Roberts III faces charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, per the station's report.
A Tangle of Overlapping Family Disputes
The online sparring between 50 Cent and Kemp appears to have escalated in the aftermath of that Daytona Beach incident, with exchanges involving both 50 Cent and Rick Ross playing out publicly. Separately, Rick Ross currently faces domestic-violence charges tied to an alleged assault of his former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, according to Yahoo Entertainment.
Under Florida Statute 784.048, harassment is defined as a course of conduct directed at a specific person that causes substantial emotional distress and serves no legitimate purpose, with a course of conduct meaning a pattern of acts over time — however short — that shows continuity of purpose, while excluding constitutionally protected activity. The same statute specifies that someone who willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows or harasses a minor under 16 commits aggravated stalking, a third-degree felony, and that officers may arrest without a warrant when they have probable cause to believe the stalking statute was violated.
It remains unresolved whether a Miami-Dade judge has acted on 50 Cent's request for a temporary or final injunction, and the full contents of the petition, including any docket number or hearing date, have not been made public. The allegations against Kemp, along with the separate charges against Don Roberts III and Rick Ross, remain unproven claims rather than court findings at this stage.
