Air Canada plans to end four Canada–U.S. routes next summer: Montréal–Seattle, Vancouver–Nashville, Vancouver–Raleigh-Durham and Toronto–Charleston, CP24 reported. The airline said it will still serve Seattle, Nashville and Raleigh-Durham from other Canadian airports, but did not address whether it would offer another Canadian connection to Charleston.
Charleston has no stated replacement route
The Toronto Pearson–Charleston service is Air Canada’s only direct link between Canada and South Carolina, according to Global News. The Post and Courier reported that Air Canada will not resume the seasonal route in summer 2027.
Reports differ on the number of routes affected
The route count is not consistent across reports. CP24 lists four routes, while Global News reports five, including Toronto Billy Bishop–Boston. The accounts do not resolve the difference.
The airline is also changing other parts of its U.S. schedule
Air Canada told CP24 that it reviews its schedule and adjusts capacity in response to customer demand and travel patterns. The airline has also announced summer 2027 service from Toronto to Louisville, Montréal to Indianapolis and Edmonton to Newark, as well as more capacity on the Edmonton–San Francisco route using a larger Airbus A220, according to CP24.
