San Antonio is starting Saturday, October 24, under mostly cloudy skies and temperatures around 63 degrees, but the afternoon will feel much warmer. The high is expected to reach 85 under partly sunny skies, giving the Alamo City another warm late-October day before the pattern gets wetter next week.
Clouds Give Way To A Warm, Breezy Afternoon
According to the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio, southeast winds will run around 5 to 12 mph with higher gusts. Rain chances stay low at about 10% or less, though a stray shower cannot be ruled out; Saturday night will have a low near 64.
Hoodline’s earlier forecast also called for a 10% Saturday rain chance and east-southeast winds that could gust to 20 mph. Sunday stays mostly cloudy with a high near 83, while Monday looks partly sunny and similarly warm.
Rain Chances Build Into Halloween Week
Rain chances run from 15% to 30% Monday night through Tuesday, with a high around 79. Spotty precipitation is possible Wednesday afternoon, mostly across the Coastal Plains.
The wetter stretch arrives Thursday and Friday, when the forecast calls for a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday and a 60% chance Friday. Highs next week are expected to range from the mid-70s to mid-80s, while overnight lows remain mild in the mid-60s.
No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the San Antonio area. For now, Saturday’s forecast is less about storm prep and more about enjoying the warm afternoon before the umbrellas become more useful later in the week.
