Atlanta is starting Friday clear and around 61 degrees, with light east winds in the forecast. Skies will stay sunny as temperatures climb to about 79 degrees, making Friday the easiest day for outdoor plans before Halloween weekend turns cloudier.
Friday Is The Best Bet For Outdoor Plans
Friday afternoon should remain sunny and dry, with winds from ENE to ESE at roughly 4 to 6 mph. Friday night will turn mostly cloudy, with temperatures settling near 60 degrees and no rain expected.
Halloween Brings Clouds And Gusty Winds
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a cooler high near 73 degrees. East winds of 10 to 15 mph could gust as high as 25 mph, so lightweight decorations and anything loose outdoors may need extra attention.
Rain chances stay low during the day, then rise slightly Saturday night, with a 20% chance of showers before 2 a.m. Temperatures should fall to around 58 degrees.
Sunday Looks Gray But Mostly Dry
The weekend forecast is now notably less wet than the outlook published earlier this week. Thursday's Hoodline forecast had pointed to Sunday as the wettest day, while the latest forecast calls for cloudy skies and a high near 66 as rain chances diminish.
Warmer Weather Returns Before Midweek Showers
Monday should turn mostly sunny with a high near 71, followed by another mostly sunny day Tuesday near 73. Rain chances increase Wednesday, when showers are possible with a 50% chance of precipitation, as a rain system may move through midweek; temperatures are expected to be in the 70s to near 80.
The National Weather Service forecast lists no watches, warnings or advisories for the Atlanta area.
