A Bond County mother has spent months carrying more than 700 missing-person flyers bearing her daughter's face and calling morgues, hospitals and police departments from her area to Chicago and St. Louis, as the search for Amy L. Bone stretches into its fourth month with no confirmed answers, according to FOX 2. Amy L. Bone, also known as Amy L. Woolford, has been missing since mid-June, as reported by FOX 2, and her mother, Valena Bone, says she will not stop looking.

Valena Bone has contacted morgues, hospitals and police departments from Bond County to Chicago and St. Louis, according to FOX 2. She has also personally searched cornfields, timber areas and empty houses, carrying the stack of flyers with her wherever she goes. Her daughter has two teenage boys, and Valena says she never misses calling her grandsons on their birthdays, a ritual that underscores how much is missing from the family's life right now.

Last Seen Near Grand Avenue in St. Louis

Amy L. Bone was last seen in the St. Louis area near Grand Avenue on June 12, according to wgel.com. She was entered into the system as a missing endangered person on June 17 by family members and sheriff's deputies, the outlet reported. Valena has separately received reports of sightings at a gas station in St. Louis and in a farm field near Keyesport, Illinois, though those sightings have led to no answers.

Six days after Bone disappeared, a woman believed to match her description was seen walking the evening of June 18 along Keyesport Road near Stolletown Road in rural Bond County, per the same wgel.com report. Witnesses described the woman as wearing pajama shorts and a gray V-cut shirt, and said she was barefoot. Deputies from the Bond and Clinton County sheriff's offices searched the surrounding cornfield on foot and with multiple drones but were unable to locate her.

No New Developments as Searches Continue

The Bond County Sheriff's Office has conducted multiple searches since Amy went missing, but has not found answers. As of October 7, the sheriff's office reported there were no new developments in the case, per FOX 2's report. Valena says she hopes someone will notice something that leads back to her daughter as harvest and hunting seasons get underway.

Valena Bone says she wants to find Amy regardless of whether she is alive, a statement that reflects the uncertainty still hanging over the case months after her daughter vanished. She shares her own phone number, 730-215-1228, on the flyers she distributes. Anyone with information about Amy Bone's whereabouts is also asked to contact the Bond County Sheriff's Office at 618-664-2151.
