A new business called Casa Benvenuto is described as a play-cafe.

According to The Connecticut Scoop, Casa Benvenuto is a play-cafe coming soon.

Wisdom of the Ages did not go far. The business says on its website that it has moved to 1618 Hopmeadow Street, describing the relocation as only two minutes north up the street from its old address. The company adds that its new location offers, in its own words, the same family-owned and operated care and quality you've come to love, per wisdomoftheages.biz.

Part of a Wider Connecticut Boom

Casa Benvenuto's arrival fits into a broader pattern taking shape across the state. The Hartford Courant reported this spring that the growth of play cafes across Connecticut continues, with new businesses expected to open in Southington and West Hartford in the months that followed. The trend reflects a growing appetite among families for indoor spaces where kids can burn off energy while parents socialize over coffee.

In Southington, Bloom Mama & Me PlayCafé was set to open June 13 at 50 Spring Street, serving children ages 0 to 7 through scheduled two-hour open-play sessions and birthday parties, the Courant's report noted. Over in Bishop's Corner, West Hartford, a business called Little Wanderers was planned as a 3,500-square-foot space at 2523 Albany Avenue featuring a sand pit, a rotating sensory pit, a baby and toddler area, and a climbing structure, though its owner said she intended to cap attendance at 30 children at a time despite the facility's larger capacity.

Established Players Already in the Mix

Avon's It's Playtime, located at 380 West Main Street, has been operating since November 2019, giving the region's newer entrants an established model to follow. West Hartford is also expecting another addition, with a business called Angel Land reportedly moving into 1445 New Britain Avenue in Corbin's Corner, according to the same Courant report.
