East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers published a Fugitive Friday notice, a public appeal seeking help.
People are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
How to Submit a Tip
The organization lists several ways to send information: call **TIPS or 877-363-8477, text ETTips to 738477, use the P3TIPS mobile app, or submit a tip online.
The organization's website also lists 865-215-7165 or **TIPS, as well as Web Tip and Mobile Tip options through its P3 Tips app. East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers says these channels are intended to keep tipsters anonymous while routing information to investigators.
A Reward Tied to an Arrest
A tip leading to Campbell's arrest could make the tipster eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000, according to the organization's website. The Facebook notice says a tip must be submitted directly through Crime Stoppers and lead to an arrest to qualify.
How tips and rewards work
East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers says it decides whether to issue a reward and how much to pay, with amounts ranging from zero to $2,000. The organization says tipsters should keep the Tip ID and password assigned when submitting information; those credentials are needed to track a tip and issue a reward, according to East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers and its tip-tracking instructions. The organization has reported successful tips in a separate case: on October 12, 2021, it said information about Robert Moore's possible location was sent to the Knoxville Police Department and helped officers locate and arrest him. The organization reported that Moore was then held in the Knox County Jail, according to its account of that case. That earlier outcome does not establish what happened in Campbell's case.
East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers regularly uses Fugitive Friday notices to seek public help with outstanding warrants. As of Friday's posting, no further updates on Campbell's case, including whether he had been located or taken into custody, were available.
