Barcelona Guitar Trio & Dance is set to bring its blend of flamenco dance and Spanish guitar back to San Francisco on Nov. 18, 2026, with a 7:30 p.m. performance at Herbst Theatre honoring the late guitarist Paco de Lucía. The internationally touring ensemble last played the Van Ness Avenue venue in its debut there a year earlier, and this return marks another stop on a touring schedule that has taken the group across continents.
Tickets for the show are available through the City Box Office, according to NBC Bay Area. The outlet reports the concert is presented by Aranto Productions and will take place at Herbst Theatre, located at 401 Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco.
A Tribute Built Around Paco de Lucía
City Box Office describes Barcelona Guitar Trio & Dance as an internationally acclaimed ensemble delivering what the ticketing site calls a captivating tribute to Paco de Lucía, the influential flamenco guitarist whose legacy anchors the group's repertoire. The program draws on compositions by de Lucía alongside works by Chick Corea, Manuel de Falla and Federico García Lorca, blending flamenco and Spanish-guitar traditions into a single evening, per the same ticketing listing.
The lineup for the San Francisco date includes three guitarists — Alí Arango, Xavier Coll and Luis Robisco — joined by flamenco dancers Carolina Morgado and José Manuel Álvarez and percussionist Lucas Balbo, City Box Office notes. That same six-person configuration has carried the group's signature fusion of guitar and dance to stages well beyond the Bay Area.
A Well-Traveled Ensemble
Barcelona Guitar Trio & Dance has built a touring résumé that spans the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Seoul Arts Theater, the Tel Aviv Opera House and The Town Hall in New York, according to the City Box Office listing. Closer to home, the ensemble frequently performs at Barcelona's Palau de la Música Catalana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ticketing site adds — and a program description from the Palau de la Música Catalana lists an approximate 90-minute runtime performed without intermission.
The group's touring footprint has also recently extended to New England. A listing from the New England Conservatory describes a performance at the school's Jordan Hall in Boston, also presented by Aranto Productions, which the listing calls the ensemble's first appearance in that city.
Back on Van Ness Avenue
For Bay Area audiences, the Nov. 18 date represents a repeat engagement rather than a first encounter. NBC Bay Area reports the ensemble made its Herbst Theatre debut the previous year, and a separate listing from SF Station places an Aranto Productions presentation of the group at Herbst Theatre on Oct. 5, 2025. With the Nov. 18 show, Aranto Productions returns to San Francisco with the ensemble once again, bringing the same mix of guitar virtuosity and flamenco footwork that has carried it from Barcelona's concert halls to stages in Seoul, Tel Aviv and beyond.
