Comedian and impressionist Frank Caliendo is bringing his rapid-fire lineup of sports figures, politicians and pop-culture personalities to Palm Beach Improv this weekend, with three shows scheduled across Friday and Saturday nights in Wellington. Friday VIP tickets were already sold out on the venue's ticket page as of Friday morning, according to the venue ticket page.
Caliendo stopped by ARC Florida on Friday morning ahead of his three-show run, a visit reported by WPEC. Palm Beach Improv, located at 10300 Forest Hill Blvd. in Wellington, lists Caliendo for a 7 p.m. show Friday, October 9, followed by two Saturday performances at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
A Career Built on Impressions and Sports Punchlines
Caliendo has performed on television, radio and stages around the country for more than two decades, per WPEC's reporting. His credits include the TBS series Frank TV and a TBS comedy special, and he has appeared around major sporting events throughout his career.
According to the venue's own event listing on palmbeachimprov.com, Caliendo's act blends celebrity, political and sports impressions with observations and stories, and his resume includes a three-year residency at The Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The venue also credits him as a regular on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown, with additional appearances on SportsCenter and other ESPN programming.
A separate comic profile on improv.com notes that Caliendo is well known for impressions of Donald Trump, Morgan Freeman, Al Pacino, Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro, along with political figures including George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. That same profile describes his high-energy act as a mix of observations, impressions, characters and anecdotal stories, and says he spent ten years on FOX NFL Sunday Pregame before moving to ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown cast.
From Mad TV to More Than 15 Late-Night Appearances
The improv.com profile also credits Caliendo as a veteran of television sketch comedy, having served as a cast member on Mad TV before starring in his own series, Frank TV. The same source notes he has comedy specials with TBS and Comedy Central, while Palm Beach Improv lists him as a guest over 20 times combined on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show and The Late Show.
That profile also frames his live shows as appealing to a broad audience, continually weaving together sports, political figures and celebrities in a single set.
What to Know Before Heading to the Show
Palm Beach Improv enforces a two-drink minimum per person inside the showroom for all guests, according to the venue's event page. Age restrictions generally apply as well: shows are typically 21-and-up, except for Monday through Thursday, Friday late shows and Sunday, which are open to guests 18 and older.
With Friday VIP tickets already gone, viewers should check Palm Beach Improv directly for current ticket availability ahead of this weekend's performances.
