Gunfire has also struck buildings elsewhere in the city without anyone being hurt. In Cincinnati's West End neighborhood, bullet holes and other damage were found in the side of a building after reports of gunfire near Linn Street early one Monday morning, according to WLWT. Crime Data Shows Mixed Picture Near Campus

Separately, WLWT has reported that Cincinnati and UC police shared data showing some violent crime trends near campus moving in different directions depending on the category. The report noted that reported rapes in Corryville and CUF rose from six in 2025 to 17 so far this year between the two neighborhoods, even as homicides and aggravated assaults in the areas reviewed had decreased significantly over the past year. Most property crime, including burglaries and theft, was also down across Clifton, Corryville and CUF, according to the same report.

As of Saturday morning, police had not identified a suspect in the McMillan Street shooting, and the investigation remained active.
