A 24-year-old Hendersonville man is being held on a $1.3 million bond after an arrest warrant charged him with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, following a forensic review of electronic devices that investigators say turned up suspected child sexual abuse material. Aaron Soman was taken into custody on Oct. 22 and booked into Sumner County Jail, according to court records.

The case traces back to a domestic disturbance call in May, when Sumner County Sheriff's deputies responded to a Hendersonville home, according to court records cited by the Hendersonville Standard. During that response, Soman reportedly allowed deputies to retrieve a handgun linked to the incident, the same court records indicate.

Devices Seized, Then Searched for Extremist Material

Deputies also reportedly obtained Soman's permission to retrieve several electronic devices, including multiple iPhones, laptops and USB flash drives, according to the same report. Deputies reportedly saw multiple firearms, ammunition and items suspected of indicating extremist-related activity at the scene, and Soman reportedly permitted a search of his devices for extremist-related material. He allegedly denied any extremist activity, the outlet's account states.

From there, investigators reportedly found suspected child sexual abuse material on the devices and obtained a search warrant for a forensic examination. That forensic examination report stated that 10 images of child sexual abuse material were uncovered, according to the same reporting, which led to the arrest warrant issued against Soman on the 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Bond Set at $1.3 Million

Soman was booked into Sumner County Jail on a $1.3 million bond after his Oct. 22 arrest. Details on his initial court appearance were not immediately available, the news outlet's report notes.

The case follows three separate child-exploitation investigations in the county that ended in arrests in December 2025, according to WSMV. All three men in that earlier case were booked into Sumner County Jail and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, the station reported.

The charges stem from suspected child sexual abuse material found on Soman's devices.
