The Home Depot has struck a new multiyear partnership with the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, becoming the teams' official home improvement partner. The deal puts the retailer's name on everything from courtside LED displays to a reimagined roost for the team's mascot, with a rollout that reaches far beyond downtown Atlanta.
The Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena entered into the agreement with the home improvement giant, according to FOX 5 Atlanta, which reported the news was based on information provided via press release from the Hawks. The Home Depot gains advertising presence inside State Farm Arena and across the Hawks' digital platforms, with branding appearing on courtside LED displays, concourse signage, the arena's exterior digital marquee and other venue locations, per the station's report. As reported by ajc.com, the multiyear agreement also includes branding of the Atlanta Hawks Fan Zone and a brand-new mascot habitat dubbed “Harry the Hawk's Nest, Built by The Home Depot.”
Signage, Hammers and a Season of Noise
Beyond the branding package, the partnership includes arena advertising, fan promotions and youth-focused community programs across metro Atlanta, the same report notes. Fans attending games will receive inflatable hammer sticks as part of a season-long “Build the Noise” promotion planned for all 41 regular-season home games and any home playoff games. The Home Depot will also sponsor the Hawks Value Pack ticket promotion and the team's “Built in the G” YouTube series.
The agreement extends beyond State Farm Arena to the College Park Skyhawks, the Hawks' NBA G League affiliate, per the same account. That piece of the deal includes advertising, community ticket programs and player appearances, rounding out a footprint that now spans the Hawks' top team and its development squad alike.
Classrooms, Clinics and a Foundation Pledge
The Hawks and The Home Depot will also work with Atlanta Public Schools on a program called “My Dreams Realized,” designed to introduce students to careers in construction, design and skilled trades. The program includes a Future City exposure day and educational experiences outside the classroom, though the companies did not specify the number of students who will participate or the funding behind the community initiatives.
A separate Community Court Tour will provide summer basketball and fitness clinics for children ages 6 to 16, paired with hands-on building activities through The Home Depot's Saturday Kids Workshops. Looking ahead, the Hawks will make an annual donation to the Home Depot Foundation beginning with the 2027-28 NBA season, though the team did not announce the size of that planned contribution.
Executives Frame the Deal as Local Impact
Andrew Saltzman, the Hawks and State Farm Arena's president of business enterprise and chief commercial officer, said the partnership would help drive meaningful impact across Atlanta. Allison Kolber, The Home Depot's vice president of integrated marketing, said the agreement provides another opportunity for the retailer to connect with customers through professional sports. The Home Depot was founded in Atlanta in 1978 and has grown into the world's largest home improvement retailer, with the Vinings-based company now folding a hometown NBA franchise into its marketing playbook. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement.
The Home Depot's arrival joins other major sponsorship activity around the Hawks this season. Delta recently renewed its own multiyear partnership with the team, remaining the Official Commercial Airline of the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, according to news.delta.com. That renewed deal gives SkyMiles Members chances to win seat upgrades, on-court experiences and merchandise through check-ins during home games, and includes a “Delta Day” game on October 25, 2025, featuring co-branded luggage tags for the first 5,000 fans at the gate, along with in-arena branding at the Diamond Deck 3 entrance and the Delta Fly-Through-Lanes.
