A night out at a Horn Lake restaurant turned deadly Sunday when gunfire left 24-year-old Justin Conrad dead and two others wounded, including Conrad's own twin brother. Police have since issued a murder warrant for a 25-year-old man they say opened fire before an unknown person shot him as he tried to flee.

Horn Lake officers responded to a shots-fired call at Kabuki Hibachi & Juicy Seafood & Bar, located at 749 Goodman Road, around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, according to WREG. The restaurant sits near the intersection of Goodman Road and Interstate Boulevard, as reported by Action News 5. Officers arriving at the scene found Conrad unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds; he was rushed to Baptist DeSoto Hospital, where he later died, per the station's report.

Conrad's twin brother was also struck, arriving at Baptist East Hospital with a single gunshot wound before being transported to Regional One Hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition, the same account notes. Action News 5 specified that the wound was to the abdomen. A third man showed up separately at Regional One with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police Say Witness Accounts and Video Point to Suspect

That third man was identified as 25-year-old Marterius McShane, and investigators say he is the one who opened fire. Witness interviews and video review led Horn Lake police to conclude that McShane shot both Justin Conrad and his twin brother before fleeing the scene, according to DeSoto County News.

As McShane attempted to leave the area, he was shot in the leg by an unknown person who fired in his direction, per the same WREG account. He ended up at Regional One for treatment of that wound, the same hospital where Conrad's brother was recovering. Investigators are still working to identify who shot McShane, and that person's identity remains unconfirmed.

Murder Warrant Issued as Case Continues

A murder warrant has been issued for McShane in connection with Justin Conrad's death, DeSoto County News reports. He was being detained at Regional One until he could be medically released and taken into custody on that warrant, according to the outlet's reporting.

Horn Lake police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 662-393-6174. The restaurant shooting comes months after a separate, unrelated incident at The Desoto Apartments off Goodman Road near I-55, where officers responding to a disturbance call around 9:30 p.m. found three people shot, two of them fatally. Police identified those victims as Antonio L. Gipson, 28, and Serena S. Madkins, 27, per WREG's coverage; an infant found in the apartment was unharmed and later turned over to extended family.
