St. Louis is heading into a weekend that looks more like late summer than mid-October: Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures rising from around 58°F early to a high near 82°F. The clouds may keep the sun playing hide-and-seek.
Sunday And Monday Turn Up The Heat
Sunday brings sunny skies and a high near 88°F, followed by a warm Monday. The daily record high for October 12 is 90°F, set in 2024, according to the National Weather Service. Overnight lows stay mild, around 66°F Sunday night and 72°F Monday night.
Saturday may bring localized rain chances in parts of southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois, while Sunday into Monday look dry. The updated outlook is a meaningful change from Hoodline's earlier St. Louis forecast, which had Saturday closer to 87°F and raised a late-weekend shower question. No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for St. Louis in the current forecast.
Storm Chances Return Tuesday Night
The pattern gets unsettled Tuesday night, when showers and thunderstorms have a 40% chance. Showers are likely Wednesday, and Thursday is expected to have the greatest coverage of rain. That gives outdoor planners several days to keep an eye on the forecast before the wetter stretch arrives.
Temperatures Ease Midweek
Highs will be in the 70s and 80s Wednesday and Thursday, a step down from the warmer start to the week.
