Iron Maiden is coming back to the Valley. The British metal legends will play Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in West Phoenix on April 26, 2027, bringing Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age along as support on a newly added leg of their 50th-anniversary tour.
The Phoenix date is part of a surprise third extension of the band's Run For Your Lives World Tour, as reported by AZ Family. That extension pushes the tour's overall footprint to 107 shows across 36 countries, with more than 3 million fans attending in total, according to Blabbermouth. The tour was launched to mark 50 years since the band formed in London back in 1975.
Bassist and founding member Steve Harris had actually planned for Iron Maiden to take a full break from touring in 2027, but the band changed course after enjoying its recent North American shows so much that members wanted to revisit regions they'd missed, Harris said, per Ultimate Classic Rock. The resulting spring run kicks off April 14 in Tacoma, Washington, and wraps up May 16 in Ocean City, Maryland, placing Phoenix roughly in the middle of the 16-date leg.
A Family Connection on the Opening Bill
The Phoenix bill carries some history with it. Pairing Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age with Iron Maiden marks the band's first all-British three-band tour lineup since 1983, the group's label notes, with the acts chosen to mirror Maiden's early-career touring roots, per the same report from Blabbermouth.
There's also a family tie built into the undercard: The Raven Age was co-founded in 2009 by rhythm guitarist George Harris, son of Iron Maiden's Steve Harris, according to a separate Blabbermouth report. It's a detail that adds a personal thread to an otherwise business-as-usual arena and amphitheatre run.
Life After Nicko McBrain
This swing through Phoenix also continues what's been a significant lineup shift for the band. The Run For Your Lives tour marks Iron Maiden's first run in over four decades without longtime drummer Nicko McBrain, who retired from live touring in December 2024 at age 72 after 42 years with the group, Blabbermouth reported at the time.
Iron Maiden is known for heavy metal staples including “The Trooper” and “The Number of the Beast,” the latter widely considered one of metal's defining songs. The band has also built a reputation for ambitious longer-form tracks, including the 14-minute “Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” released in 1984, and the 18-minute “Empire of the Clouds,” released in 2015.
Where the Show Will Happen
Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre will host the Phoenix stop.
No Radio Hits, Still Selling Out
Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood pointed out in October 2026 that the band has sold out North American arenas since 1983, bar a short period in the '90s, despite almost no mainstream radio airplay and never landing a single song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, according to Loudwire. Smallwood credited that staying power to multi-generational fan word-of-mouth rather than radio exposure.
The Phoenix stop follows the band's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026, alongside acts including Phil Collins, Oasis, and Wu-Tang Clan, with the ceremony held in Los Angeles. It's the latest marker in a run that's also included an earlier stop on the current tour at Boston's TD Garden with Megadeth in September, and a headlining set at the Louder Than Life festival that same month.
Tickets and Extras
Fans can get in line early: artist presale for the Phoenix show begins at 10 a.m. on October 19, with additional presales running throughout the week leading up to general on-sale at 10 a.m. on October 23, per AZ Family's reporting. The tour leg will also bring traveling Eddie's Dive Bar pop-up activations and official Trooper VIP pre-show party packages to host cities, featuring Maiden-themed craft beers, memorabilia, and exclusive merchandise, according to Blabbermouth. Whether Phoenix will get its own localized version of the pop-up, which Hoodline previously covered when it landed in Los Angeles, remains unannounced.
