The forecast calls for clear skies in Las Vegas Monday, with lows in the low 70s; showers and thunderstorms are also in the forecast for the day. The high will be near 72 degrees, with breezy conditions across the valley.
Monday's Storm Threat
The National Weather Service Las Vegas has flagged a Monday heavy-rainfall threat. Stronger cells could bring lightning, brief heavy rain, sudden gusty winds and isolated flash flooding. Sunday's forecast also warned of flooding in poor-drainage areas and near low-water crossings.
Southwest winds will run 8 to 14 mph this afternoon, with gusts reaching about 24 mph. The rain chances ease late in the day, though a few scattered showers could linger before 7 p.m. Monday night as skies gradually clear.
Tuesday Brings A Sharp Cooldown
Tuesday will be sunny but noticeably cooler, with a high near 69 degrees. That cooler pattern follows the wetter weekend setup previously covered by Hoodline, while Tuesday's remaining shower risk is expected to be focused mainly east and northeast of the Las Vegas Valley.
Sunny Skies Return For The Rest Of The Week
Dry weather takes over Wednesday, when Las Vegas should reach about 73 degrees under sunny skies. Temperatures then rebound to near 79 Thursday and into the upper 70s Friday.
For Monday, keep an eye on the sky and never drive through flooded roads.
